Paper model is an art of making 3 dimensional model from sheets. The process including designing, cutting, and gluing. Usually the designs is made with a designing software and then printed out. After printed out, the design is cut free and folded on the folding lines. Finaly, the model is finished by putting glue on certain points and sticked the paper together.
There are a lot objects that can be made as paper model. These includes ships, aircrafts, buildings, robots, guns, animals, anime characters and many other. Usually, paper model is built in scales. For a small objects, such as a bus paper model, the difference bettwen the real object and the model not so big in scale. But for a bigger object (a battleship paper model for example), the model can have a bigger scale (1:200, 1:350, or 1:400). Besides the scales, paper models also varying in textures and detail. . The higher the detail, the harder it gets to be done.
As a hobby, paper model is a very fun activity to do. It’s not any require money, except for the cutting tools, glue, sheets and ink. Even though, making a big sized, detailed, and realistic paper models, indeed, needs a lot of experience, set of good, fine instruments and a bunch of time. But to make a simple, small paper model, we don’t need that much time. We only need some spare time, simple cutting tools, glue, designs, and of course, sheets of paper.
